Who We Are
The guys that started the business are qualified engineers, with many years of experience in plant and research engineering. The business grew from an automotive repair shop founded in 2010. From a single fitter, we have grown to employ 3 full time people, and several part time including specialist sub-contractors when needed.
We started leasing cars from the repair side of the business during Covid times, when no-one wanted cars repaired. But the leasing side has grown so quickly that we can't accommodate both businesses under the same roof. So here we are, in a new premises. Still the same people we always were. Honest and reliable, and occasionally grumpy, and always on for a cuppa and a chat. In other words, just normal people trying to do the right thing.
What We Do
A day in the life of BCL is always interesting, but our principles are sound mechanics, economy for customers, and sustaining the environment.
Mechanics
Mechanical competence personified. This is a stripped gearbox on the workshop bench. We take great care over our lease cars, and have the skills to make them reliable vehicles for you.
Economical
Our cars are usually very economical, have a look at the MPG on this!
Great for the environment and your wallet!
The Environment
This particular car had stripped the teeth from it's cam belt. We replaced the engine from a smashed Peugeot. It's part of the reason we think of older car leasing as a 'Green' project. This car with all it's embedded energy and lifetime cost to the environment would have been scrapped without this work. Surely that can't be good environmental practice?
